Together for HIE Foundation and Trust began with a shared need to connect families in Kenya after a diagnosis of Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy. Families sought understanding, support, and a space where their experiences are heard. What started as a growing network has developed into a structured foundation and trust focused on strengthening systems, supporting families, and building awareness around HIE.
Today, Together for HIE works with hospitals, clinicians, partners, and a growing community of volunteers and supporters across Kenya. This collective effort advances our mission to improve life outcomes for children affected by HIE and to ensure families receive the support they need beyond hospital care.
